Every pupil in our care is given every opportunity to thrive academically, develop new skills, build lasting friendships, and take an active part in the rich experiences our school has to offer. Throughout the year, achievements are celebrated in many meaningful ways from Stars of the Week and Proud Assemblies to our Core and British Values certificates reflecting our belief that every child is amazing, unique, and deserving of recognition.

Our well‑qualified, experienced and committed staff teach small class sizes in a warm, caring and stimulating environment. We treat each child as an individual: offering additional support where needed, recognising and challenging our most able, and encouraging every pupil to discover what makes them special.

The Junior School’s most recent ISI Education Quality Inspection (September 2025) was passed with flying colours. A testament to our dedicated staff and the strong, supportive partnership we share with our families.

Our curriculum is both comprehensive and challenging, supported by excellent digital technology. Every child in the Junior School has access to a personal device to enhance learning across the curriculum. Specialist teaching in Music, Drama, French, PE, Science and Art enriches classroom learning, while participation in local and national events including ISA competitions and Cornish and Devon activities helps pupils build confidence, teamwork, and pride in their achievements.

From Reception to Year 6, our children impress us daily with their enthusiasm, creativity, and determination. It is an honour and a privilege that parents trust us with their most precious belongings, and we take that responsibility deeply to heart. Our goal is to reveal each child’s unique strengths, nurture their potential, and give them the wings they need to fly today and far beyond the Junior School.
